8.30am Monthly Holy Communion
(30 minutes long)
This takes place on the second Sunday of each
month. It is a quiet service with no music but
with a short address. It follows the Common
Worship liturgy.
9.30am Sunday Service
(35 minutes long)
A new form of weekly service that invites young
and old to wonder and talk together about the
Bible.
11.00am Sunday Service
(60 minutes long)
Here we follow the mainstream Anglican order of
service. It is communion twice each month with
an informal all-age service once a month.
Children
We run a range of children’s activities at our
9.30am and 11.00am Sunday services.
6.30pm Monthly
(60 minutes long)
This is a full choral service that follows the order
of the Book of Common Prayer. It has a calm
and contemplative feel to it. Details will be
published nearer the time.
10.30am Thursday Communion
(35 minutes long)
Our midweek communion service follows the
order from the book of Common Prayer (the old
order).
Service of Prayer for Healing &
Wholeness
This is held on the first Friday each month at
12.30pm (except public holidays when it is the
second Friday).
Other Gatherings
Open for Coffee
The church is open for coffee and
refreshments Monday to Saturday from 10am
until 12noon. Come and enjoy a chat or take

Town Centre Ministry
St Michael’s Church plays an important part
in the town. We are involved in a number of
things locally. To find out more click here.
Choir
This is an important part of the life of our
church. It lifts and leads us in worship. It
holds a weekly practice session and is open
to new members young and old. Email.
Contemplative Prayer
This way of prayer is foundational to all
others. Sometimes we run courses on this
topic, but we also have weekly groups
running. Email.
Young People
We run a range of activities. You can

Toddler Groups
On Thursdays we run groups for pre-school
children. These are very popular and you
can contact us to see if we have any places
available at the moment. Email.
Bell Ringers
St Michael’s boasts a peal of twelves bells
and they are always happy to welcome new
members to join their team.
