Worship & Gathering - St Michael's Church, Macclesfield

Church Services 8.30am Monthly Holy Communion (30 minutes long) This takes place on the second Sunday of each month. It is a quiet service with no music but with a short address. It follows the Common Worship liturgy. 9.30am Sunday Service (35 minutes long) A new form of weekly service that invites young and old to wonder and talk together about the Bible. 11.00am Sunday Service (60 minutes long) Here we follow the mainstream Anglican order of service. It is communion twice each month with an informal all-age service once a month. Children We run a range of children’s activities at our 9.30am and 11.00am Sunday services. 6.30pm Monthly (60 minutes long) This is a full choral service that follows the order of the Book of Common Prayer. It has a calm and contemplative feel to it. Details will be published nearer the time. 10.30am Thursday Communion (35 minutes long) Our midweek communion service follows the order from the book of Common Prayer (the old order). Service of Prayer for Healing & Wholeness This is held on the first Friday each month at 12.30pm (except public holidays when it is the second Friday).

Other Gatherings Open for Coffee The church is open for coffee and refreshments Monday to Saturday from 10am until 12noon. Come and enjoy a chat or take a look around. Email. Choir This is an important part of the life of our church. It lifts and leads us in worship. It holds a weekly practice session and is open to new members young and old. Email.
